Honorary Degree
Local businessman Dr Geoffrey Davies OBE, has been awarded an honorary degree from the University of Wolverhampton.
Dr Davies, head of Ludlow-based hedge cutter manufacturers McConnel and vice-president of Alamo Group, was awarded the honour in recognition of his services to agricultural industries.
He attended the university for the conferment of an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Business Administration, which also recognised him “as a renowned champion of rejuvenation and regeneration.”
Dr Davies, who already had a doctorate achieved through study, was honoured alongside Esther Rantzen and comedian Frank Skinner.
