Pub refurbishment to create 25 positions
Twenty five jobs are set to be created at a Shropshire village pub which is undergoing a major £1 million refurbishment.
A post office based at the Horseshoes Inn at Dorrington, near Shrewsbury, has already reopened having been switched from the rear of the premises to the front, which looks on to the main road.
Village Green Inns want to make it the community hub of the area and have invested a huge sum of money in a radical renovation of the premises.
The kitchens will be doubled in size and fitted with the latest, modern equipment, while the dining area will be expanded significantly.
The pub will also include five bedrooms with en-suites to offer the best in bed and breakfast accommodation.
Freddie Collier, managing director of the firm, said the revamped site was due to fully reopen for Easter. He added the project will create up to 25 full and part time jobs for the area, and bosses are actively seeking chefs and kitchen staff, as well as bar and housekeeping staff.
