Dr Geoffrey Davies appointed to the Technology Strategy Board.
The Technology Strategy Board plays a major role in the promotion and transfer of technology in the UK. Dr Davies has been responsible for the successful growth of the Alamo Group Europe (UK) which now has 10 companies in Europe.
Dr Davies is keen to see greater transfer of knowledge and improved access for UK manufacturing firms to innovative programmes of research and development and to new technologies. The board has established a number of Knowledge Transfer Networks; each is bringing together people within a specific field or business application from businesses, universities, research, finance and technology organisation to stimulate innovation through knowledge transfer.
Dr Davies is a Shropshire Business Ambassador and Chair of the Shropshire Business Board.
