Shropshire Farm Invests £60,000
Pimhill Farm in Harmer Hill has investing £60,000, £23,000 of which came from a Rural Enterprise Grant, to upgrade a 1950’s stone mill and packing machinery. The new mill will allow the company to increase production of its organic oats and strong white flour from 15 tonnes per year to 75 tonnes.
The firm has already seen a large increase in orders, they sell primarily to local farm shops and box schemes. The company has already been able to create five part-time jobs to cope with extra capacity created.
