Our Businesses

Shropshire is a predominately rural county with the most varied landscape in the West Midlands from the picturesque meres in the north of the county to the rolling hills of South Shropshire an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

We have large employers such as Müllers, ABP and Granger and Worrell and smaller, niche companies who are winning national and internationally recognised awards – and a vast array of businesses in between.

Our aim is to showcase the businesses that are operating in Shropshire, highlight our award winners , the key business sectors where the county has real strength and competitive advantage and the work of our Business Ambassadors.

A key priority for the council is to improve our engagement with the private sector. We host an annual Business Summit during spring and Shropshire has a team of Business Ambassadors who offer their business knowledge and expertise for the benefit of the wider economy.
